Countersunk slotted raised head screws are the screws whose head can be sunk into the mounting surface. It is made of stainless steel (such as A2 or A4 grade) or galvanized carbon steel. It is corrosion-resistant and rust-proof. It can be used indoors and outdoors. It is often used in electronic products and furniture, and can also be used to assemble automotive parts.
To make countersunk slotted raised head screws last longer, we do different coatings. For using them indoors, we use electro - galvanizing which gives a 5 - 8 µm zinc layer. If they're going to be outside, hot - dip galvanizing is better, with a 45 - 85 µm layer. And for less friction and a nice look, we can do a black oxide coating.
There are also special treatments. Dacromet can resist corrosion for up to 1,000 hours in a salt spray test. PTFE coating makes them resistant to chemicals.
Countersunk slotted raised head screws in polished brass or nickel-plated are used for decorative purposes, e.g. in high-end buildings or luxury items.
The coating materials we select are RoHS and REACH compliant, free of hazardous substances and meet quality standards.
Countersunk slotted raised head screws come in metric sizes. The diameter goes from M2 to M12, and the length is from 3mm to 50mm. The thread pitches are based on either the ISO 261 (the coarse one) or ISO 262 (the fine one) standards.
The pan head's diameter is usually 1.8 times the screw diameter, and its height is 0.6 times the diameter.
If you need them for special uses like in medical devices or aerospace, we can make custom sizes. We can do non-standard lengths or make the head smaller if you want.
Q:How do countersunk slotted raised head screws perform in high-vibration environments compared to Phillips head screws?
A:Countersunk slotted raised head screws rely on the friction between the screwdriver and the slot to work. But they are less resistant to vibration than cross or hexagon sockets. You can use thread lockers or use spring washers to reinforce them to prevent loosening.
In car engines, you can use nylon insert slotted pan head screws or add locking nuts.
Furniture or electronic product housings use countersunk slotted raised head screws for a beautiful appearance.
